지옥여행... EMPEROR - With Strength I Burn 를 작업했습니다.

 

일전에 작업을 하겠다고 말씀드렸던 곡입니다.

 

이 곡은 진짜 작업하기 힘든 곡이더군요.

 

MR 만드는데도 상당히 시간이 걸렸고, 가사 외우는데도 엄청 고생하고 ^^;;

 

9분정도 되는 곡인데 리듬기타가  뮤트없이 스트레이트하게 계속 내달리기만 하는 곡입니다만...진짜 후련후련한 느낌이 들더군요.

 

기타 레코딩 연주 하면서 모처럼 만에 스트레스 쏴~~악 풀리는 시간이었습니다.

 

오케스트레이션 때문에 고생을 좀 했구요. 그 외에는 역시 잘 들리지 않는 보컬을 따라서 부르며 연습하는 과정이 힘들었습니다.

 

엠페러 초기 앨범의 곡들은 거의 믹싱이 엉망진창 와장창~ 스타일이라 기타 톤이나 보컬 어느것 하나 제대로 들리는 게 없는 정도인데요.

 

제가 이 곡을 작업 하면서... 역시 원곡의 사운드를 근접하게 작업하며서 기타랑 보컬은 훨신 알아듣기 쉽게 톤을 만들어 작업했습니다.

 

보컬 부르기가 아주 까다로운 곡입니다. ㅎㅎ

 

사용한 기타는 레독스의 ZX-800 한대를 사용했는데요.

 

엠페러 곡을 작업 할 때, 레독스 ZX-800 이 상당히 궁합이 좋은 것 같습니다. 예전 작업했었던 엠페러의 Curse you all men 에서도 그랬지만

 

역시 이곡에서도 잘 어울리네요 ㅎㅎ  조금 적은 듯 한 게인에서 치고나오는 힘이 좋은 기타인것 같습니다.

제가 비록 엠페러의 리더인 이샨보다 나이가 더 많지만 ㅠ,,ㅠ  참으로 존경하는 팀입니다.
