지옥여행 시리즈 Dimmu Borgir의 Dreamside Dominions 를 레코딩 했습니다.

제가 최근에 가장 좋아하는 팀을 꼽으라면 역시 딤무 보르기르(Dimmu Borgir) 라고 이야기 하고 싶습니다. ㅎㅎ

 

물론 이 팀의 최근 앨범은 아니고, 예전 앨범들이긴 합니다만... 정말 진지하게 제 스스로의 음악을 돌아보게 만든 팀이라고 생각하고 있습니다.

 

사실 저는 완전히 머리가 벗겨져 대머리가 되기 전에 앨범 하나를 내 보려고 생각했었는데요. 이 팀의 곡을 접하고 나서 그 생각을 접게 되었

 

습니다.

 

제가 정말 원하는 스타일의 음악을 제대로 만들어야 겠다는 다짐을 하게 해 준 그런 밴드입니다. ^^;;

 

좌우지간 이번곡은 건반만 엄청나게 트랙을 쓸 정도로 나름 신경써서 작업을 했습니다.

 

곡 구성을 보나 어느 한 군데 버릴곳이 없는 멋진 곡이라고 생각합니다.

 

그런데 기타 솔로 파트는 제대로 된 솔로라기 보다는 그냥 대충 제가 만들어 친 듯한 분위가가 더 크긴 합니다. ^^;;

 

사용한 기타는 야마하 퍼시피카 커스텀 한대 이며, MPX G2 와 JMP-1 조합의 다이렉트 레코딩 사운드 입니다.

 

건반은 이번엔 waldof 의 blofeld를 제법 많이 사용했습니다. 아나로그 사운드를 쓸 곳이 많아서 간만에 디테일하게 사용 한 것 같습니다.

 

정말 Dimmu Borgir의 사운드는 건반을 빼 놓고는 이야기 할 수 없는 것 같습니다.

 

정말 헤비한 느낌의 곡에는 사실 건반의 비중도 상당하다는 걸 새삼 느낄 수 있었습니다.

 

덕분에 집에 있는 어지간한 건반과 모듈은 다 사용 한 것 같네요. ㅎㅎㅎ

 

보컬은 역시 조금 부족한 느낌이 있을 수 있겠으나, 나름 성의를 다해 불러 보았습니다.
